Odoo & implementation
See the page →Odoo Community or Enterprise?
Both. Community is open source and licence-free; Enterprise adds advanced apps (sign, planning, payroll, studio…) under an Odoo S.A. licence. We compare total cost and needs with you, implement the chosen edition — and can migrate from one to the other.
How long does an implementation take?
Between 4 and 16 weeks depending on scope. The detailed timeline is set during scoping.
What's the difference between support and development?
Support covers what exists: user help, configuration, fixes. Any new feature is development and is quoted separately.
Is support free?
Anything caused by the software or by our work is fixed at no extra cost: a bug in Odoo or in our developments, security patches, an incident on our hosting — under warranty or within your plan. Repairing the consequences of an error on your side (deleted data, non-compliant import, settings or code changed without telling us, third-party module installed…) is billed on a time basis. We always tell you, with an estimate, before starting any paid repair (terms of sale, article C.2 bis).
Can you take over an existing Odoo?
Yes. We start with an audit (modules, data, version), then propose a support plan or a migration to a recent version.
Where is my data hosted?
On monitored servers in an approved ISO/IEC 27001 certified datacenter, with SSL and a 99.95% SLA. Hosting on your own servers is also possible.
Is training included?
Yes, key-user training is part of every implementation. Extra sessions can be scheduled.
How much does an Odoo implementation cost?
It depends on the apps, the data to migrate and specific developments. As for the edition: on Enterprise, the per-user subscription is bought directly from Odoo S.A.; on Community there is no per-user cost, only the server resources you subscribe to. After scoping you get a fixed quote: the price does not change unless the scope does.
Can you migrate our data from Sage or Excel?
Yes. Products, customers, suppliers, opening balances and useful history are imported from Sage, another ERP or your Excel files, then checked with you during acceptance.
Do we own the modules developed by OVS Corp?
Your data is always yours. Modules developed by OVS Corp remain its property: you pay an annual right of use. For an installation on your own servers, you can request to buy them on quote (terms, art. B.6.2).
What happens after go-live?
The delivered scope is under warranty for 3 months. Then a support plan (Basic, Standard or Premium) takes over, with guaranteed response times.
How is the number of users billed?
With Odoo Enterprise, you buy the subscription directly from Odoo S.A., at Odoo’s per-user price; we help you size that number correctly. Our services are invoiced separately. With Odoo Community there is no licence and no per-user cost: pricing depends on the server resources you subscribe to (CPU, memory, storage), sized to your usage.
Migration
See the page →Can we go straight from Odoo 12 to Odoo 20?
Yes, for you it is a single migration. Technically the data goes through each intermediate version, but it all happens on our test server: you only see the final result.
How long does a migration take?
From a few weeks to a few months: it mostly depends on the amount of custom code and the number of integrations. The audit sets a precise timeline.
Do we have to stop work during the switch-over?
No: the final migration takes place over the weekend. Data entry is frozen at the end of the week and you resume on Monday on the new version. The old database stays available read-only, and a rollback plan is ready in case of surprises.
Who owns the modules after the migration?
Migration does not change ownership. A module you already own remains yours once ported to the new version. Modules developed by OVS Corp remain OVS Corp property and stay subject to the annual right of use (terms, art. B.6.2). Your data always belongs to you.
Our Odoo was set up by another provider: is that a problem?
No. The audit starts precisely by analysing the existing code, whoever wrote it. We tell you frankly what deserves porting, simplifying or replacing with standard.
Support & maintenance
See the page →Do you support an Odoo set up by another provider?
Yes, after a takeover audit: we review the instance, modules and custom code, then propose the right plan. Any blocking issues are quoted separately.
Does support cover Odoo Community and Enterprise?
Yes, both editions. For Enterprise, we complement Odoo S.A.’s publisher support, especially on your custom modules and configuration.
What about a critical incident on the Basic plan?
The Basic plan does not guarantee a P1 response time. We do our best, but if a production stop is a real risk for you, Standard or Premium is a better fit.
Are backups included?
If your Odoo is hosted by OVS Corp, it benefits from the backup of our whole platform. A backup of your own database, sent to you when needed or kept on your premises, is an additional billable service (terms, art. C.2).
Odoo hosting
See the page →Which tier should I choose?
It mostly depends on concurrent users, the apps (POS and manufacturing are more demanding) and data volume. We recommend a tier during scoping, and you can upgrade at any time.
Can I get my database back?
Yes, your data belongs to you. At the end of the contract, a full copy of your database is handed over under our terms (art. B.6.2 ter). To receive backups of your database during the contract, or keep a copy on your premises, subscribe to the customer backup service.
Are backups included?
OVS Corp backs up its whole platform, your instance included, to guarantee service continuity: that is included. A backup of your own database, sent to you when needed or kept on your premises, is an additional service, quoted according to the size of your database.
How is this different from web hosting?
Shared web hosting suits websites and email. An ERP like Odoo needs its own server and a dedicated database: that is what Odoo hosting provides.
Web hosting
See the page →Do prices include VAT?
No, all prices shown exclude VAT. VAT is added according to Tunisian law.
Can you migrate my existing site?
Yes. Give us access to your current host: we transfer files, databases and email, then tell you when to switch DNS.
Can I change plans later?
Yes, you can upgrade at any time, without downtime.
Is the domain name included?
The domain is registered separately (.tn, .com…). We can register it for you or connect one you already own.
How do I set up email on my phone?
POP/IMAP/SMTP settings are provided when the account opens, and our support guides you if needed.
